Recently, I attended Katie Dodd’s very moving memorial service in the gardens of Mountsett Crematorium.
Her ashes were buried in the family plot beside those of her parents.
Her sons both read a poem and spoke about their mother, then her husband Trevor spoke.
Jim Kelly, her brother-in–law, placed a lovely spray of lilies on Kath’s final resting place.
It was a beautiful day and, of course, the views are breathtaking.
At the reception, I spoke with her family and asked her son David to email me the obituary he had brought along and it is re-produced here.
